Just 115 seconds into the most anticipated heavyweight bout in Australia in recent memory, it was all over.
Former world heavyweight champion of the world Lucas Browne was put to the ground for the second time in the first round by former NRL great Paul Gallen.
The crowd of 4500 frenzied fans at the WIN Entertainment Centre erupted.
The moment of Gallen's triumph was so beautifully captured by Illawarra Mercury photographer Adam McLean.
In the moments following the fight on social media fans exploded about the seemingly total lack of resistance from "Big Daddy" Browne, who was the more favoured boxer going into the bout.
Fans at the venue had watched an incredible undercard for the night with fight after fight going the distance and every boxer slugging it out until they could barely stand.
It was no surprise then that fans and boxing greats alike cast a shadow over the effort of Browne in the main bout.
Greats like Barry Michael came out to suggest Browne should retire and never fight again.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Browne hit back to the criticism on Facebook in the early hours of this morning.
"It's so f--king sad to see so many bulls--t comments, attacks, haters and people saying I took a dive," he wrote.
"I had a fight, I fought s--t, couldn't recover, have been out the ring for too long and got beat, end of story.
"I got in there, had a go, failed, and that's it ... full credit to Gallen. Thank you to the fans, supporters and sponsors, and I do apologise."
Result of the main bout aside what is for certain, just one day after hosting The Wiggles, big-time boxing made a very successful return to the WIN Entertainment Centre.
