A Queensland man diagnosed with a rare blood clotting reaction to the AstraZeneca vaccine has been discharged from hospital.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has ruled three recently reported clotting cases involving a 35-year-old NSW woman, an 80-year-old Victorian man and the 49-year-old Queensland man "were likely linked to vaccination".
The TGA said all three, identified specifically as having thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome or TSS, were responding well to treatment.
Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said on Saturday the Queensland patient had been treated for two days at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital after receiving a vaccination from a GP in South Brisbane on May 29.
He was discharged on April 18, although is continuing to receive medication for his leg clot.
Dr Young said the recovery of all three individuals was thanks to the fast reactions of both patients and staff.
"It is important that both the vaccine recipient and their treating clinician are educated on the signs and symptoms of TSS," she said.
Dr Young reiterated that clotting reactions were extremely rare, with just six Australian cases coming from about 1.1 million AstraZeneca dozes so far.
The Perth outbreak, she said, reinforced the need to vaccinate vulnerable groups of Australians including those over 70 and with underlying health conditions.
Queensland has moved to restrict travel into the state from metropolitan Perth and the Peel region as its residents began a three-day lockdown after coronavirus leaked into the community from hotel quarantine.
Anyone who has been in those areas since April 17 and has since arrived in the sunshine state is required to comply with the WA lockdown rules.
From midnight, any returning Queensland residents and exempted travellers from Perth or Peel will also be ordered into 14 days hotel quarantine.
Health Minister Yvette D'Ath denied it was an overreaction, especially on the eve of Sunday's Anzac Day commemorations.
"There is never a more important time to follow these directions," she told reporters on Saturday.
"We have Anzac Day coming up tomorrow. I wouldn't consider for a moment putting those people at risk because we want to attend those services.
"We owe it to ex-servicemen and women to make sure that people who have travelled to Perth are staying quarantined at home or hotel quarantine so we are reducing the risk as much as we can."
She indicated those travellers from the Perth and Peel regions could be released on Monday if WA Premier Mark McGowan lifts the lockdown.
Queensland recorded one new case of COVID-19 on Saturday, a seaman aboard a vessel that has travelled from Japan and now sits off the coast of Mackay.
The rest of the crew has tested negative.
