ACT Health updated its advice for returned travellers on Saturday afternoon, requiring those who had come back to complete a self-declaration form within 24 hours of arriving in the ACT, or within 24 hours of the start of a COVID-19 area of concern notice.
Travellers who returned from West Australian exposure sites before 8am on Saturday must immediately present for a COVID-19 test and then isolate at their residence or accommodation until informed of a negative result.
Travellers who returned after 8am on Saturday from West Australian exposure sites must complete a declaration and present for a test, but then remain in self-isolation until after 2am on Tuesday, April 27.
People who have been to Victorian exposure sites must declare their travel, present for a test and remain in isolation until informed of a negative test result.
"Continue to monitor for symptoms for 14 days from the date last in a listed exposure location, and if you experience any symptoms of COVID19 go to a COVID clinic to be retested," the ACT's advice said.
Non-ACT residents seeking to enter the territory from the Perth and Peel regions from 8am Saturday will need an exemption from ACT Health prior to travel. The exemption form will be made available on Saturday evening.
If an exemption is granted, those travellers will need to stay in isolation after they arrive in the ACT until after 2am on Tuesday, April 27.
ACT residents have been advised not to travel to the Perth and Peel regions while they are locked down.
"The situation will continue to evolve over the coming days, and ACT Health will provide further advice going forward," territory health authorities said on Saturday.
"This is another reminder we are still living through a COVID-19 pandemic."
