Shania Whitehouse's husband, Kieren, was killed in a car crash on April 15, 2021.
"It was so nerve wracking, I felt sick yesterday morning," she said.
"The only person I'd sang in front of in the last four years was Kieren and my friends for fun.
"Kieren always wanted me to get back into singing. I didn't really have the words to express how I felt about him and so it was the perfect way to tell him I love him."
She said her old voice teacher, Lana Stokes, had helped her with the music, Tasmanian musician Clinton Hutton had recorded her singing and Jesse Buchanan had created the video.
"The song is by Sasha Sloan," she said.
"Every word was just perfect, I didn't write it unfortunately, but it was just perfect.
"It was emotional, especially because the song is so raw, but I just pulled it together."
Mrs Whitehouse works in real estate, but said making the video had resparked her passion for singing.
"It was so nice to make, such a stress reliever," she said.
"And I'm blown away, absolutely blown away by how people have responded to it.
"I couldn't have got through all this without all our friends and the community ... it's been heartwarming in a terrible time."
