When you can watch Australia chase gold on day two of the Tokyo Olympic Games

Swimming: Brendon Smith is up first in the men's 400m individual medley final at 11.30am [AEST]. Smith was the fastest qualifier in the heats on day one. Elijah Winnington and Jack McLoughlin follow in the 400m freestyle final at 11.52am. Australia's world and Olympic record holders will chase gold in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay final at 12.45pm.

Women's 100m backstroke record holder Kaylee McKeown and 400m freestyle contender Ariarne Titmus will feature in heats from 8pm tonight.

Surfing: History is being made in the sport and Julian Wilson leads the charge for Australia this morning as he is up first from 9.20am at Tsurigasaki Surfing Beach. Owen Wright follows from 10am, before Sally Fitzgibbons at 12pm, and Stephanie Gilmore at 12.40am.

Skateboarding: Shane O'Neill becomes Australia's first skateboarding Olympian in the men's street event. Prelims begin at 9.30am before the final at 1.25pm.

Hockey: The Hockeyroos open their tournament against Spain at 11am before the Kookaburras resume their tournament against India from 7.30pm.

Tennis: Reigning Wimbledon champion Ash Barty begins her quest for singles gold while James Duckworth and Ajla Tomljanovic are also in action from 12pm.

Cycling: Grace Brown, Tiffany Cromwell, Sarah Gigante and Amanda Spratt fly the flag for Australia in the women's road race from 2pm.

Basketball: Patty Mills and the NBA-laden Boomers open their Olympic campaign against Nigeria at 6.20pm. Canberra product Chima Moneke will feature for the Nigerians.

Soccer: The Olyroos will look to continue their giant-killing run when they face Spain in the group stage from 8.30pm.
