ACT government lifts Covid stay-at-home orders for SA, Vic and Orange from midnight

The orders also apply to the Blayney Shire Council and Cabonne Shire Council local government areas.

This means anyone who has been in these areas will not need to follow the stay-at-home requirement upon entering the ACT.

People already in the ACT subject to the stay-at-home requirement relating to these areas will be released midnight tonight.

Victoria and South Australia are being released from lockdown from Tuesday night.

Orange, the Blayney Shire Council and Cabonne Shire Council in Central West NSW will also emerge from lockdown at midnight Tuesday.

Individuals seeking to enter the ACT, who have spent any time in South Australia and/or Victoria, will be required to complete a declaration form within 24 hours prior to arriving in the ACT.

The declaration form will no longer be required for people who have spent time in the Orange City Council, Blayney Shire Council and Cabonne Shire Council LGAs.

Canberrans are still being asked reconsider the need for non-essential interstate travel at this time.

"This will help to minimise the risk of COVID-19 entering the ACT. Canberrans should not be travelling to COVID-19 affected areas," ACT Health said.

"We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in other jurisdictions and will put in place further travel restrictions if required in order to keep Canberra safe."
