As the situation worsens in vulnerable NSW regional centres and even more exposure sites, the stay-at-home plea has been reiterated, restrictions tightened and fines toughened for those who don't.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison and the state's premiers on Friday discussed concerns about the Sydney outbreak, which has now seeded Delta outbreaks in regional NSW and other states and territories.
"We've got to do the right thing by each other. We've got to do the right thing by our neighbours, our communities, our city, our country," Mr Morrison said. "You can do that by following the rules, staying at home, getting vaccinated and getting tested."
Australia's Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly said the NSW outbreak was " ... clearly our third wave in Australia". He said Victoria, Queensland and the ACT were experiencing outbreaks of lesser concern.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk called for a clear containment plan from the NSW government while Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has repeatedly urged NSW to erect a "ring of steel" around Sydney.
The NSW Central Western city of Dubbo is facing a make-or-break weekend as cases of COVID-19 in the city soar. Already eight new venues have been added to the list of exposure sites this morning.
Eight cases were recorded in Dubbo and two in Walgett until 8pm last night, but at least another 15 people have tested positive to COVID since then.
The same is the case in the locked down ACT where the number of exposure sites in the ACT has grown to 39, with authorities adding a community centre, a supabarn and a medical centre to the list.
Meanwhile NSW can expect compliance checks to ramp up in supermarkets from today. Strict public health orders remain in place, SafeWork NSW said inspectors would be targeting retailers and specifically supermarkets from Saturday.
At the NSW crisis cabinet on Friday it was agreed a permit system for people wanting to leave the Greater Sydney area would be put in place.
On the good news front, a Melbourne cleaner who lost his job due to the pandemic has become Victoria's biggest individual lottery winner after pocketing $80 million.
The man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he lost his job during one of the earlier lockdowns and had been working as a cleaner to make ends meet.
