On Friday, the ACT recorded 40 new cases with 21 linked to known cases, remaining 19 under early investigation. Up to 8pm Thursday night, 16 people were in hospital, six in ICU and five on ventilators.
Two babies are being cared for in a peadiatric COVID ward, and five are in quarantine because of the special care nursery at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children cluster.
Additional funding has been announced for schools. $5.7 million will go towards ventilation, relief teachers, masks and more.
The lockdown in NSW will end on Monday, but the NSW nurses union has asked people to be cautious, as they are concerned hospitals may be overloaded.
