There are 738 patients with coronavirus in hospital and 130 in ICU while 85 are ventilated.
Yesterday, 70,180 tests were conducted across the state which was down on the previous day's total of 82,648.
There were 20,361 vaccine doses given at state-run clinics yesterday, while 4,550,912 have been given in total.
Victoria now has 23,730 active cases of COVID-19 and 78 per cent of the state aged over 16 years is fully vaccinated.

Today's case numbers come as Melburnians look forward to being able to head out to Victoria's regions again from 6pm Friday.
The metro-regional border is re-opening ahead of the state hitting its 80 per cent fully vaccinated target.
It's feared the late afternoon rules change could cause traffic chaos, with thousands fleeing the city for the unofficial Melbourne Cup long weekend.
But Chief Commissioner Shane Patton has indicated those planning to get a head start might not be penalised.
"Rather than everyone heading off ... at the six o'clock starting line, if it was a fraction earlier we're not going to be very worried about that," he told Melbourne's 3AW radio on Thursday.
