Consignment store Goodbyes opened its doors on Monday morning, filled to the brim with unique second-hand pieces that are fashionable and help the environment at the same time.
Monique Thomas and Olivia Mangan are the brains behind Goodbyes. Both had been working in the fashion industry overseas, but when they returned to their home country of Australia, they set their sights on a second-hand shop.
"We're lucky to work in a part of the industry that doesn't create any negative impact, which is quite were rare in fashion," Thomas says.
"And when we came back to Australia, we didn't know where to shop, because we were used to shopping second-hand, and we wanted this on a personal level ourselves."

The duo has already opened Goodbyes stores and made a name for themselves in Melbourne and Hobart, but as Thomas grew up in Canberra, opening a shop in the capital was always on the cards.
"We've been looking for a spot in Braddon for a long time on Lonsdale Street, and it's dictated by available spaces for us, but when this one came up, we took the opportunity," Thomas says.
Goodbyes is a place for people to not only pick up some good quality pre-loved clothing, shoes and accessories, but it's also somewhere they can sell some of the items that they no longer want.
Canberrans can take items they want to sell to the store seven days a week. Goodbyes will sell it and pay the original owner 50 per cent of what it sold for, less GST and a 50-cent handling fee.
"Our primary focus is quality and longevity, so we don't want to discriminate by brand," store manager Claudia Tetreault-Percy says.
"We are selective when it comes to quality, longevity and things that have beautiful fabrics and in a condition that is also resellable, so that it passes on to the next person in a state that is still wearable and that can live a long life.
"We are welcoming of everything across the board from plus size to masc styles because we have started with a smaller masc section, but we do want it to grow."
Goodbyes is at 27 Lonsdale Street, Braddon.
