More than 10,000 fans are expected to stream through the turnstiles for Tszyu's super welterweight showdown with Japanese star Takeshi Inoue on Wednesday night.
The No Limit Boxing card is one of Sydney's first major events since emerging from a 107-day lockdown last month and fans have a chance to prove their desire for a world title bout in the city, with Tszyu in line for a fight with WBO champion Brian Castano early next year.
"Sydney deserves it too, given the lockdown they've been through. They missed out on the whole footy season," No Limit Boxing chief executive George Rose said.
"All the major sport we usually have on here, your rugby league, your AFL, your rugby union, we missed it all year. Now we've got a great boxing event, it'll be the largest indoor sporting event for the year. It's a deserved reward for everything everyone has had to endure over the past few months."
MORE BOXING
Tszyu's clash with Inoue kicks off an epic month for boxing in Australia with cruiserweight Jai Opetaia risking a shot at the world title when he faces Trent Broadhurst in Brisbane on December 4.
The D&L Events card will be headlined by middleweight Issac Hardman and Adam Stowe, before No Limit's festival of fights takes centre stage.
Ex-world champion Andrew Moloney's redemption tale begins against Froilan Saludar at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on December 9. Paul Gallen takes on Manly enforcer Josh Aloiai at the same venue on December 10, with Olympic Games bronze medallist Harry Garside to make his professional debut on the undercard.
"You've got to maintain it a little bit because we've got this massive event to focus on and a lot of work to do on it, but I can't help but get a little bit excited about what's coming up in Newcastle.
"The fights we've got lined up for that, there's some there that I genuinely have got no idea how they're going to go. I'm pretty pumped to just get there and enjoy some good fights."
