An 87-year-old Victorian man reported missing has has died after a boat capsized near Cooma on Saturday.

NSW Police in a statement said that about 9.30am, emergency services were called to Braemar Bay - about 60km west of Cooma - following reports a small boat had capsized.
Police were told the man was seen on the boat but not after it flipped.
A large-scale search of the area was conducted by Monaro Police District officers with help from the Marine Area Command, police divers, marine rescue, two helicopters, NSW SES and Surf Life Saving.
Following an extensive search, divers found the man's body about 4.30pm.

He was taken to Cooma Hospital and identified as a missing man from Victoria.
A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
The boat will be salvaged and undergo further examination.
