Mr Taylor said Telstra was in the final stages of upgrading Tura Beach and its surrounding area to 5G.
"Bringing Telstra's 5G network to Tura Beach for the first time is a gamechanger and means customers with 5G devices will be able to experience faster download speeds, greater capacity during the busiest times on the network and better connectivity," he said.
Mr Taylor said customers in the area were notified ahead of works starting that there would be some disruption to mobile services when the upgrade was undertaken.
"We're sorry if this is messing with anyone's week. We expect to have everything online and working better than ever by the end of today (Thursday)" he said.
