The defender was ruled out of the contest with a hamstring injury before half-time after chasing down the Tigers' Noah Balta. Davis prevented the forward from getting a kick off late in the second quarter but injured himself in the process.
The club will be hoping it is not a repeat of the 31-year-old's 2020 season-ending knee injury, and he will instead be back in action after a few weeks.
Davis seemed hopeful he would not be ruled out for too long.
"I've definitely done a solid hammy," the former Marist College student said.
"I'm not sure how bad, hoping that it's not too severe but yeah, I always say don't sprint, bad things happen. So I'm disappointed, but I'm more disappointed to leave my teammates out there one short for the last quarter."

The injury woes of Davis add to the unsavoury start to the season for the Giants, having now lost both of their opening matches.
The Giants have finished in the top six every year since 2016, except in 2020, and have outlined they hoped to go one better in 2022 by raising the flag.
