One of the few positives to come out of the Canberra Raiders' 19-point loss to Manly was young halfback Brad Schneider had front-row seats for Daly Cherry-Evans' kicking clinic.

Cherry-Evans' boot guided the Sea Eagles to victory in Mudgee, kicking for a 40-20, the only 20-40 of the season so far, a field goal, two goal-line dropouts and 666 metres.
It drew praise from Raiders coach Ricky Stuart, another who possessed a brilliant kicking game.
Schneider's just four games into his NRL career and Raiders fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad said his halfback would've learnt a lot from watching Cherry-Evans in action.
"One hundred per cent. We've got a few young blokes in our team and Cherry-Evans is on the back end of his career and performing really well and Brad's starting his career," Nicoll-Klokstad said.
"There's a lot he can take out of Cherry-Evans' book and he's got someone in his halves partners in Jack Wighton he can do the same with as well."
MORE RAIDERS NEWS
While Cherry-Evans was a big reason behind the Raiders' loss, they were also their own worst enemy - they completed their sets at less than 44 per cent in the second half.
Nicoll-Klokstad said it would be a pretty simple focus this week as they prepare to face the Melbourne Storm at Wagga Wagga.
He said holding on to the ball, completing their sets and kicking to the corners would be their focus coming up against the NRL powerhouse.
It's something the Green Machine was able to do in the first half against Manly - completing at more than 90 per cent to trail 10-6 at half-time - but that ability switched off like a light after the break.
The Raiders have lost their past four games against the Storm - with an overall winning percentage of just 29 per cent against the Melbourne side.
"Hold the ball and kick into corners. We've got to do a better job of finishing our sets and I'm sure that'll be a focus moving forward," Nicoll-Klokstad said.
"It's early on in the season still and we don't want to make that a trend in our game, in our season and it's something easy we can fix up.
"I'm sure we'll be able to fix it up right away.
"We've got a really good side and another heavyweight team in the competition in the Melbourne Storm and we're going to have be a lot better than we were [Saturday night] against them next week.
"We're going to review the game [Sunday] and we'll take the learnings out of it, but a lot of us already know what that is - finish our sets and kick them into corners."
