Police allege Karawera Te Kaitahi Mangu Rerekura assaulted a man at around 3.30pm on January 8 in the grandstand at the burnout area of the event.
An arrest warrant was issued and, on Monday, the 27-year-old was arrested by NSW Police to face extradition proceedings in Wyong Court.
Rerekura's extradition to the ACT was approved and he appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday, facing one charge of recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Rerekura fronted court in a wheelchair with a suspected broken ankle after trying to jump a fence while running away from police.

Defence lawyer Anna Qvist said Rerekura had four children under eight years of age, a pregnant partner and was the sole breadwinner of his family.
Ms Qvist said if he was remanded in custody the family "will not be able to pay their rent, they will not be able to sustain themselves".
Rerekura was refused bail by Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker, however he is scheduled to reappear on Thursday on another application for bail which will be argued on a different legal point.
