Sarah O'Riley from South Coast Community Kitchen said asking for help was the first big step but one everyone needed to take.
"Everyone needs a helping hand at some point," she said. "Homelessness could happen to anyone."
If you are in need, or know someone who could do with support, here is a list of homelessness and food support services available in the Eurobodalla and Shoalhaven.
Eurobodalla
Food Support:
- Pivot Point, Uniting Church: 1 Catlin Ave, Batemans Bay. 10am to 12pm Monday and 10am to 12 noon Friday
- Cross Central Community Care Food Hub: 1 Kerang St Batemans Bay 10am to 1pm Wednesday and 10am to 11.30am Saturday
- City Church Batemans Bay Food Pantry: 15A Bavarde Ave, Batemans Bay. 9:45am to 12pm Thursdays
- South Coast Community Kitchen: deliver free groceries to vulnerable families on Fridays
- Red Door Café, Anglican Parish: Page St Moruya. Lunch on Tuesdays from 12 to 1:30pm
- Southern Life Moruya Pantry Club: 2738 Princes Highway, Moruya. 10am to 1pm Wednesday and Thursday.

- Salt Care food hamper drive: 5-19 Birriley St,Bomaderry NSW 2541. Every Tuesday and Thursday.
- Mobile Community Pantry: All Saints Anglican Church, 70 Plunkett Street Nowra. Every second Wednesday 1.30pm - 2.30pm
- Anglicare Nowra: 61 North St, Nowra. Open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
- Anglicare Ulladulla: 65 South St, Ulladulla. Open 9am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
- Ulladulla and Districts Community Resource Centres: provides low cost groceries to those doing it tough. 78 St Vincent street, Ulladulla. Open 9:30am to 11am Wednesdays and Fridays.
