The English singer and songwriter is the latest drawcard, and will perform alongside Jessica Mauboy and pop royalty Kylie Minogue at the opening concert on February 24, hosted by Courtney Act and Casey Donovan.
American singer Kelly Rowland will headline the Domain Dance Party on February 26, an open-air dance event curated by DJ Dan Slater.
The 17-day festival features more than 300 events, including all the Mardi Gras favourites, and will take place February 17 to March 5, 2023.

Sydney WorldPride festival is the largest LGBQTIA+ event ever held in the region, and with 100 days to go until the party kicks off, organisers released the full festival program on Wednesday.
There is a range of free and ticketed experiences, from concerts to parties, theatre, sports and family events.
New tickets for the Live and Proud: Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert and hotly-anticipated Bondi Beach Party go on sale at 10am on November 9.
Tickets are also available for Domain Dance Party and closing concert Rainbow Republic featuring MUNA.
New Sydney WorldPride events
Four new shows at Marri Madung Butbut (Many Brave Hearts): First Nations Gathering Space (Feb 23-28), hosted at Carriageworks, have been added to the official event line up:
- Camp Culture (Feb 25, 26) - a funny and interactive family circus show for campers of all ages, hosted by the incredible talent of Dale WoodbridgeBrown. Tickets available now.
- Ailan Songs Project (Feb 26) - An exploration of popular historical songs from the Torres Strait and brings together ancient languages and historical events with tropical island reggae grooves. Tickets available now.
- Bloodlines: The Huxleys (Jan 4 - March 5) - a multi-artform exhibition which honours legendary artists lost to HIV/AIDS in the 1980s and 90s. Free event.
- Koori Gras (Feb 28) - The final night of Marri Madung Butbut will celebrate the rich diversity of queer performances by leading national and international First Nations artists. Free event.
New Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras tickets
Tickets to the much-loved Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras' Laugh Out Proud, Sissy Ball and Paradiso Pool Party go on sale on Wednesday, November 9.
This will be the 45th anniversary of the parade and it's a special milestone for organisers, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras CEO Albert Kruger said.
"We're celebrating this milestone by introducing two new parade viewing areas so that spectators can enjoy extra comforts while cheering on as the world's most spectacular night-time parade passes by," he said.
WorldPride Arts program revealed
The curated program of arts events launches on November 9 and features 68 culture events, of which 50 are world premieres.
Events will be held at more than 40 venues across Sydney and will feature more than 2000 performers, artists and arts workers. The festival includes:
- The Australian premiere of the Tony award-winning Choir Boy
- Absolutely Queer, an exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum
- A performance by Mo'Ju with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House.
- The Australian premiere of The Dan Daw Show, commissioned by Sadler's Wells (UK) is an extraordinary dance theatre work by queer disabled artist Dan Daw. An exclusive for Sydney WorldPride.
- Two 24-hour performance works - Day for Night: the Pleasure Arc and 24 Hour Grumble Boogie.
Full WorldPride Sports schedule released
For sports lovers, there's WorldPride Sports, a community program of over 17 different sports including football, hockey, basketball, wrestling swimming, ten-pin bowling and more.
The Sydney Stingers and Sydney Rams are among those involved. The program includes free events for people to participate in and watch. Full program.
Human Rights Conference schedule revealed, new presenters
On March 1-3, 2023, the conference will bring together 1500 community leaders, activists, politicians and human rights experts from across the globe to address the key human rights issues affecting LGBTQIA+ people around the world.
It is the first conference of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, and a further 18 presenters were added to the list on Wednesday.
March across Sydney Harbour Bridge
Sydney WorldPride will wind up with the not-to-be-missed Pride March and Rainbow Republic on Sunday, March 5.
Sydney Harbour Bridge will close to traffic for the march, to allow 50,000 people to walk across the iconic landmark in a powerful international statement of visibility. This is a free event, with entry via ballot.
Sydney WorldPride chief executive Kate Wickett said the first WorldPride in the southern hemisphere is a significant moment for the LGBTQIA+ community.
"Now is the time to get ready for the global LGBTQIA+ reunion we've all been waiting for," she said.
