Deputy Premier and Police Minister Paul Toole announced a $17 million injection into the force over the next five years in the "You should be a cop" campaign to bolster the 17,000-strong force.
"This is about investing in the next generation in blue who will keep our community safe," Mr Toole said on Monday.
The incentives include a $3000 on-campus allowance, a reduction in the online entry level component of study from eight to four weeks and slashing the course costs from about $1800 to $700.
The changes will kick in from 1 January next year.
"This incentive is about making sure that we look after police officer through their entire career. It is making sure we support them through their mental and physical wellbeing," he told reporters.
Police Commissioner Karen Webb encouraged people from all walks of life to join.
"It's a very competitive labour market at the moment no matter what industry you're in. We're not immune to that but we're a very appealing employer of choice," she said.
