The Beatles release 'Now and Then' using AI

All members of the Fab Four are featured on the recording Now and Then including the familiar harmonies of Sir Paul McCartney and John Lennon as well as the rhythm guitar from George Harrison and Sir Ringo Starr on drums.

Sir Paul and Sir Ringo, surviving members of Liverpool's most beloved export, have released the song alongside the band's 1962 debut Love Me Do.

Now and Then will be included on the newly remastered and expanded versions of the Beatles' Red and Blue greatest hits albums from November 10, 2023.

Lennon recorded vocals and piano for Now and Then in 1978 and his widow Yoko Ono gave the cassette to the band after his murder in 1980.

Harrison contributed guitar to the recording in 1995 before his death in 2001.

Fans are praising the release as an emotional epilogue to the Beatles legacy.

"I know it's true, it's all because of you," begin Lennon's opening bars before both singers harmonise the moving lyrics "now and then I miss you".

Sir Ringo said the new release "was the closest we'll ever come to having him back in the room".

"All those memories came flooding back," Sir Paul said.

"My God, how lucky was I to have those men in my life?"
