The conservative National party has sealed coalition agreements with libertarians ACT and right-wing populists New Zealand First.
Under the two deals, National leader Chris Luxon will become prime minister, with NZ First leader Winston Peters serving as deputy prime minister until May 2025, when ACT leader David Seymour succeeds him for the second half of the term.
The deals bind the three parties to each support the others' policy priorities.
The closed-door talks have focused on building a shared policy program for the three-year government term, and dishing out ministerial posts.
