The Cold Chisel frontman was first hospitalised for pneumonia in November, and was forced to go under the knife after it was revealed a bacterial infection had spread to his heart.
Barnes and his wife Jane have been updating fans along the journey, following a successful heart valve replacement surgery.
The rocker posted that he had his picc line (peripherally inserted central catheter line), which gave doctors IV access to veins near his heart, removed after more than a month.
"I'm free and on to the next phase of recovery," he wrote.
"Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who have helped me with the care of it."
Barnes also shared that he'd been feeling well-enough to help his wife around the house and in the kitchen, revealing he was "getting better every day".
The Aussie rocker was forced to cancel a series of upcoming shows in November, December and January as he took time out to recover.
Heart surgery was the latest medical complication for Barnes, who underwent hip and back surgery in late 2022 to resolve nearly a decade of chronic pain issues.
