MOVING INTO CABINET
* Malarndirri McCarthy takes on the Indigenous Australians portfolio
* Pat Conroy retains the defence industry and Pacific portfolios but has been elevated into cabinet

CABINET RESHUFFLE
* Clare O'Neil has been dumped as home affairs and cyber security minister and will move to housing and homelessness
* Tony Burke will pick up home affairs and cyber security on top of maintaining arts and serving as leader of the house
* Murray Watt moves on from agriculture and takes over Mr Burke's old portfolio of employment and workplace relations
* Julie Collins picks up agriculture after serving as housing minister and retains her small business portfolio
OUTER MINISTRY
* Andrew Giles has been sacked as immigration minister and will take on skills and training, which drops from cabinet into the outer ministry
*Jenny McAllister has been promoted to the cities and emergency management portfolios, the latter of which drops from cabinet after being held by Senator Watt

ASSISTANT MINISTRY
* Kate Thwaites will move into the assistant ministry in the social security, ageing and women portfolios
* Matt Thistlethwaite will become the assistant minister for immigration, with his old portfolio of assistant minister for the republic scrapped
* Anthony Chisholm will become the assistant agriculture minister and keeps his assistant education portfolio
* Josh Wilson has been promoted to assistant minister for climate change and energy
* Julian Hill has been promoted and will be the assistant minister for citizenship and multicultural affairs
* Ged Kearney picks up assistant minister for Indigenous health on top of her assistant aged care and health ministries
* Pat Gorman has assistant minister to the attorney-general added to his role as assistant to the prime minister
* Tim Ayres' title of assistant minister for manufacturing has been rebranded as assistant minister for a future made in Australia
