Tim the Yowie Man has challenged me to complete the 10 adventure holidays he's picked out for this week's cover story and I just might take him up on it. It's too easy in this comfortable, suburban, mid-life to forget what a rush it is to try something new, something that scares you just a little bit. I know the kids would love to swim with the seals, the ocean kayaking appeals too, as does the abseiling and ultimate Snowy River Pilgrimage. It could be a thrilling summer. Or then I might just head out to Canberra's favourite picnic spots, pack myself a basket full of Katy Holder's food and a good book (have a whole Ian Rankin back catalogue to get through now) and take it a little easier. Even if you have your summer planned to the day, check out Tim's story and maybe challenge yourself too.
